Meet Alyssa
Alyssa Crocker is not a career politician — she’s a mother, advocate, and fighter who knows firsthand the struggles Miami families face. Her life has been defined by resilience, compassion, and a relentless determination to create change where it’s needed most.
As the proud mother of two special needs boys — one living with a rare genetic disorder and the other with autism — Alyssa understands the unique challenges faced by families navigating the healthcare and education systems. She has spent years advocating for equal access, affordability, and better support for children and adults with disabilities. Long before running for office, she founded a nonprofit that delivered cards and gifts to sick children in hospitals, reminding them that they were not forgotten and that their lives had value.
Alyssa’s fight for justice is personal. Her father, Dr. Derek Crocker, lost his life due to medical negligence at North Shore Medical Center — a tragedy that continues to impact not only her family but countless others in the community. Alyssa has turned her life’s challenges into a mission for justice, accountability, and community reform. She has been on the frontlines of legislation like SB 734 and HB 6017, fighting for medical accountability. Her uncle Jay, the victim of a hate crime, left a legacy that still inspires Alyssa’s unwavering commitment to fairness and equality. His case ultimately influenced national legal precedent. These experiences forged Alyssa into a tireless advocate for accountability, transparency, and justice.
Alyssa’s family has a proud legacy of service. Her grandfather and uncle both served in the military, instilling in her the values of sacrifice, duty, and resilience. These values guide her mission to honor veterans, support survivors of domestic violence, and build a Miami where every family has the chance to thrive.
As Mayor, Alyssa will:
Demand accountability and transparency in city government so taxpayer dollars are spent wisely.
Uphold fiscal responsibility
Strengthen domestic violence prevention and survivor support, so no one is left to struggle in silence.
Prioritize veterans’ services and housing, honoring those who have sacrificed for our country.
Invest in safe, resilient communities, tackling crime prevention, youth engagement, and climate resilience head-on.
Alyssa believes that real leadership means listening, standing up for those without a voice, and never backing down in the face of injustice. She has proven that she is relentless in the fight for her family and for every family in Miami.
Now, she’s asking for your support — not as a politician, but as a mother, a neighbor, and a fighter who believes Miami can and must do better.
“For every family. For every voice. For a stronger Miami.”
